#ThriveYear Weekly Reading February 8-14

Alright team...it's here.  A new week.  A new day.  Full of God's grace and plans for our lives.  We're alive in exciting days today, and these are the times for us to draw closer to God and pursue His purpose for our lives.  Many times I've been guilty of trying to do life serving God on MY OWN strength, rather than accessing his "exceeding, abundant" strength.  But going through this reading plan, I'm diving into God's word in a new way, and it's great.  I hope you are doing the same.

Hello THRIVE YEAR participants!  It's another great week...believing that you are walking in all that God has for you this week.  I don't know about you, but the reading lately has really been stirring me...and showing me greater areas in my life where I can honor people, honor authority and honor God.  It has been reminding me we serve a God who is bigger than time...and certainly bigger than our individual situations.  I encourage you to reach out to God this week, and allow His word to come alive to you.

#ThriveYear Reading Saturday January 9

1 Samuel 13-14.  The invasion of the Philistines, and Jonathan begins a great adventure.

It's Baptism weekend at Champions Centre.  If you've never been baptised, check-in at Guest Services 30 minutes prior to any service this weekend (and bring a change of clothes!).  This weekend will be exciting, with people making an outward expression of their faith in Jesus.  See you there.

This weekend at Church, Pastor Kevin begins a great series called "What Do You Want, Really?"  This is going to be an incredible series to get the new year started strong...who can you bring to Church with you this weekend?

1 Samuel 1-3.  Samuel presented to the Lord, and established as a prophet.

Tonight at the Tacoma Campus is UnitedONE..our combined youth & young adults service.  Tonight's service includes guest speaker Matthew Barnett from the LA Dream Center.  This night is open to everyone, and promises to be one of the most memorable services of the year.  Hope to see you there.

Ruth 1-4.  A story of redemption.  A picture of one of the four women named in the lineage of Jesus.

Judges 19-21.  These three remaining chapters contain a very sad history of the wickedness of the men of Gibeah, in Benjamin.

First week of the New Year...make it a good one today.  THRIVE Night on Tuesday includes the return of Celebrate Recovery (after a holiday break) as well as a vision night for the new Winter Quarter of CLGs coming at the end of January.
